With COVID-19 hitting hard and causing everyone to think of their financial assets, it ultimately created a new wave of businesses and business owners. Of that bunch, a significant high percentage are women-owned businesses. Women are making a great strides in the professional work force and through entrepreneurship.
The women supporting women hashtag (#womensupportingwomen) circulating Instagram is such an inspiring reminder that women have to support and uplift one another. Your Accident Your Money (YAY$) is a woman-owned business and the owner, Blessin McCoy, feels it's an obligation of hers to give back. "When God blesses you, it's to bless others. It's up to our communities and business owners in the community to take care of, teach, support, and help others wanting to succeed whenever we can" says McCoy. "If we can position someone for success, that would be an honor."
The Send a Chick to Law School Scholarship is for a young woman that's on her grind! YAY$ is gifting a deserving young lady a one thousand dollar scholarship for law school. Current and upcoming law students are eligible for this scholarship. The requirements consist of submitting the following; a current academic transcript either official or unofficial, a professional resume, and an essay that details personal goal and aspirations and how education will help them pursue this goal.
